People: Harbin retiree relishes the challenge of a new life

Liu Xiaoming retired earlier this year. But he was not about to stop taking on new experiences. The 61-year-old who lives in Harbin, Heilongjiang province, became interested in diving and started to learn in April in Zhuhai, Guangdong province. He got a license in May. Not content, he then drove across Lop Nor in the Xinjiang Uygur autonomous region in one week. His next goal is to get a pilot's license.
