Conference to launch system for carbon trading

The National Development and Reform Commission will hold a conference in Beijing on Tuesday to launch the national carbon emissions trading system. The system will serve as a key driver to help the country achieve carbon reduction goals sooner than 2030. Carbon trade means carbon emission quotas can be traded. For example, a metric ton of carbon dioxide equivalent is used as a unit of trade.
