CNOOC discovers new gas field

CNOOC has discovered a new gas field in the eastern Bohai Sea, the company said on Friday. The field will be able to provide about 6.4 cubic inches of natural gas per day. China's largest gas producer, CNPC, also lifted production from its major and non-major gas fields. CNPC aims to pump up more gas from its Jilin oil and gas field and Sichuan basin field, the firm said.
