5 arrested on child abuse charges

The Changning district procuratorate approved the arrest of five suspects charged on Wednesday with child abuse at the day care center of major travel agency Ctrip. Prosecutors specializing in crimes against children have been involved in the case since Nov 9, three days after video footage went viral online showing teachers and workers mistreating toddlers at the center. The center has been suspended.
