Minister stresses globalization at WTO
China has always been a firm proponent of economic globalization and the multilateral trading system, China's Minister of Commerce, Zhong Shan, said on Monday. Zhong made the remarks during the plenary session of the 11th World Trade Organization's ministerial conference held in Buenos Aires, Argentina's capital. Zhong stated that economic globalization is an irreversible historic trend and a major driving force for global economic growth and World Trade Organization (WTO) rules provide crucial institutional safeguards for economic globalization, serving the common interests of all nations. In the face of new situations and challenges, China stands ready to work with WTO members and guide the process of globalization toward a more open, inclusive, balanced and win-win direction that will benefit all, Zhong added.
