Chinese, Russian militaries to conduct anti-missile drill

Chinese and Russian military units will conduct a joint computer-assisted anti-missile drill from Monday to Saturday in Beijing, according to the Ministry of Defense. The goal is to "jointly train for anti-missile combat, from planning and preparation to launch command and firing coordination", said Senior Colonel Wu Qian, the ministry's spokesman. The People's Liberation Army Air Force is organizing the drill to improve the response to "sudden and provocative ballistic or cruise missile attacks".
