VW launches T6 Multivan Fashionline

The T6 Multivan Fashionline comes with two-year customer warranty. Besides the 18-inch wheel rims, currently installed as standard, an ABT Sportsline package is offered as an alternative, free of charge. The vehicle has a length of 4.9 meters with a 3-meter wheelbase. Its outstanding efficiency and power is generated by a 2-liter four-cylinder Turbocharged Fuel Stratified Injection engine. The 150kW maximum output and 350 Nm peak torque, together with 4Motion technology, enables swift acceleration and greater power and control in difficult driving conditions. Light Commercial Vehicles, Volkswagen Group Import Co, suggested a retail price of 562,800 yuan ($85,000).

Volvo S90 wins Xuanyuan Award

Beating 45 rivals, the China-made Volvo S90 won the fifth Xuanyuan Award organized by China's Auto Business Review magazine and Austrian consulting firm EFS. The jury also gave out special awards to the SAIC Maxus D90, GAC NE GE3, Lynk&Co 01, GAC Honda Avancier 240 Turbo, BAIC Senova All New D50, Wey VV7 and BAIC BJEV Lite and made 10 nominations. Initiated in 2013, the annual award aims to be the Oscars for the automotive industry, said Jack Yu, chief editor of the magazine. "It has nothing to do with business, with power or with connections."

Skoda refurbished Mao's VOS sedan

Czech carmaker Skoda Auto has recently refurbished the VOS sedan that former Czechoslovakian leaders sent to China's first leader Mao Zedong in 1952 as a state gift. Ralf Hanschen, president of Skoda China, said the sedan has witnessed the friendship between China and the Czech Republic, and Skoda will continue the tradition of providing quality cars for Chinese and global consumers. China is Skoda's largest market, where it sold 310,000 cars in 2016. The automaker entered the Chinese market in 2007 and has since localized its models via SAIC Volkswagen. It aims to double its annual vehicles sales to 600,000 by 2020.
