China Daily | Updated: 2017-12-01 08:19

A regulation to promote transparency in Party affairs was reviewed and passed at a meeting of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China Central Committee on Thursday in Beijing.

The meeting was presided over by Xi Jinping, general secretary of the CPC Central Committee.

Promoting transparency in Party affairs is "an important step" for the implementation of the spirit of the 19th CPC National Congress and a must to developing intra-Party democracy and socialist democratic politics, according to a statement issued after the meeting.
