Meitu appoints Cheng Yu as COO

Cheng Yu, former vice-president of social media platform Sina Weibo, was appointed chief operating officer of photo-editing app Meitu this month. Cheng will be in charge of commercialization of products. Cheng has over 17 years of experience in finance and technology. Wu Xinhong, founder and CEO of Meitu, said he believed Cheng's experience with Weibo and Microsoft make him a perfect fit for the job.
