Man kills two, shot by police

Police in Hubei province shot a man dead after he allegedly killed two people and attacked police officers on Friday morning, Chutian Metropolis Daily reported. The man, surnamed Liu, 44, a Hubei native, was suspected of beating a 72-year-old woman and a security guard to death with a club in Jiang'an district of Wuhan at around 4 am, the paper said. The suspect also allegedly refused to be detained and attacked the police who arrived at the scene, it said. The case is still being investigated.
