Fake fans target livestreaming host

Three men and a woman posed as fans of a female livestreaming host, surnamed Cao, in order to rob her, according to prosecutors in Chaoyang district. Cao let the four into her home after they said they wanted to meet her in August, but the gang stole two mobile phones, an iPad and 13,000 yuan ($1,960) in cash. They also forced Cao to transfer 48,000 yuan to them via Alipay. The gang were found to have committed similar crimes four times this year. The victims were all female livestreaming hosts.
