Police seize heroin, detain 12 people

Twelve people have been detained on suspicion of trafficking 55.6 kilograms of heroin, police said. In early September, police received a tip that a man from Sichuan province had contacted drug dealers in Myanmar and planned to transport heroin to Sichuan via Yunnan. An investigation followed, and last week two suspects were caught in Yunnan's Dehong prefecture. Another 10 suspects were then caught in other parts of Yunnan and Sichuan.
