Red Cross provides medical aid in Syria

Red Cross Society of China sent five staff members to Damascus, the capital of Syria, in early November to provide medical aid for people in areas of armed conflict. Two buses and two ambulances, equipped with medical equipment and information systems, provided remote consultation and real-time communication for local medical providers. This helped them perform physical examinations, surgeries and disease screening under the guide of Chinese staff. The society also donated vaccine against meningitis, poliomyelitis and hepatitis, to meet the demands of Syrian people, especially children.
