Blecharczyk rises to chairman of Airbnb

Airbnb China has named Nathan Blecharczyk, its co-founder and chief strategy officer, as new chairman last month. He will visit China once a month to give guidance to about 100 employees in Beijing and Shanghai. Ge Hong, former regional leader for Airbnb, resigned last month after being in the post for four months. Blecharczyk said the company continues to face many challenges in the Chinese market and sees much scope for growth and localization.
