1,655 copyright violators shut down

China's copyright watchdogs have shut down 1,655 websites for violating copyright laws and deleted 274,800 links, the National Copyright Administration said on Thursday. More than 300 court cases have been filed since a joint campaign was launched in July by the administration, the Cyberspace Administration of China, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and the Ministry of Public Security.
