Left-behind kids make video calls

Twelve left-behind children in Sanjiang county of southern Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region were able to enjoy free video calls in late October with their parents who work far away. Meicai.com, a food material online trading website, donated a special classroom to help poor, lonely children talk with their family members. Data from the Ministry of Civil Affairs shows China has more than 60 million such children and the lack of care and accompaniment has resulted in mental and physical problems for some of the kids. The company built a similar classroom in Xiajin county of Shandong province last year.
