Court disqualifies deputy PM Joyce

Deputy Prime Minister Barnaby Joyce and four other federal politicians were disqualified from sitting in parliament by the High Court on Friday. Joyce, leader of the Nationals party which shares a governing coalition with the Liberal National Party, was found to be ineligible to serve as Member of Parliament as the constitution prevents dual citizens from being elected. Joyce holds New Zealand citizenship by descent.
