Klopp adamant he can plug Liverpool's leaks

LONDON - Manager Jurgen Klopp pledged to repair Liverpool's chronic defensive problems after a loss at Tottenham Hotspur left the Reds 12 points adrift in the Premier League title race.

Spurs exploited Liverpool's abject defending throughout Sunday's game at Wembley, with Harry Kane scoring twice either side of goals from Son Heung-min and Dele Alli as Mauricio Pochettino's men moved level on points with second-place Manchester United.

Liverpool has now conceded 16 league goals - the most it has leaked at this stage of a season since 1964 - and Klopp said his team could forget about climbing the standings until it sort things out at the back.
