Liang remains grateful to Asian Tour

By China Daily | China Daily | Updated: 2017-10-10 07:17

Liang Wenchong has blazed a trail for Chinese golf through the decades, but the 39-year-old says he couldn't have made such a big impression on the world stage without the help of the Asian Tour.

Liang became the first Chinese golfer to break into the world's top 100 and the first mainlander to make the cut in a major championship - at the British Open in 2008.

In 2010 he finished eighth at the PGA Championship, having shot a course-record 64 in the third round at Whistling Straits.
