Though NBA champions fail to beat Timberwolves in preseason match

Fresh from being crowned champions again at this summer's NBA Finals, the Golden State Warriors are enjoying a rapturous reception on their return to China. Coach Steve Kerr remains humble on the team's ascent to league supremacy, however.

But for some scattered Timberwolves jerseys up in the stands, the atmosphere at the packed Shenzhen Universiade Center on Thursday was more like a home game at the Warriors' own Oracle Arena in Oakland, California.
