Retested samples earn bans

BUDAPEST - The International Weightlifting Federation has suspended nine countries from the sport for a year.
Friday's decision by the IWF followed the retesting of anti-doping samples from the 2008 and 2012 Olympics. Countries with at least three doping offenses from those Olympics were suspended.
The member federations which have been identified as such are Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, China, Kazakhstan, Moldova, Russia, Turkey and Ukraine.
