Former insurance regulator probed

Xiang Junbo, former chairman of China Insurance Regulatory Commission, is under investigation on suspicion of taking bribes, the Supreme People's Procuratorate announced on Friday. Xiang has been placed under coercive measures, and further investigation is under way, according to the procuratorate. Xiang has been expelled from the Communist Party of China and dismissed from public office, the CPC discipline agency said in September.
