487 rescued from Dominica

China has transferred a total of 487 Chinese people from hurricane-stricken Dominica so far, including one from Macao and two from Taiwan, Foreign Ministry spokesman Lu Kang said on Thursday. The second batch of 306 people arrived at Antigua and Barbuda on Monday by ship, Lu said. The first group of 158 people arrived in the country on Sept 22. Another 23 Chinese people were transferred and arrived on Barbados Coast Guard vessels, Lu said.
