Synthesis of exclusivity and culture expected to provide irresistible draw for those with fine taste

The Bulgari Hotel Beijing opens in the heart of Beijing's exclusive embassy area on Wednesday.

"The opening of the first Bulgari hotel in China underlines the importance of this market for our brand and it is a symbol of the fruitful dialogue between our two countries," said Jean Christophe Babin, Bulgari CEO.

Designed by architects Antonio Citterio and Patricia Viel, and crowning seven years of meticulous construction work, the fourth jewel in the Bulgari Hotels & Resorts collection rises within the new Genesis Project, an oasis of tranquility that balances art and nature.

Celebrities, artists and designers will gather to celebrate the hotel's opening gala dinner hosted by Babin and Bao Min, chairman of Genesis.

Michelin-starred chef Niko Romito, chef curator of the Il Ristorante concept for Bulgari Hotels & Resorts, created a special dinner for the occasion, expressing his philosophy of simplicity and his original cuisine concept.

During the dinner in the ballroom, set with imperial tables decorated with flowers and candles, Babin will deliver a speech on the ancient-rooted relationship between Italy and China, followed by a delightful performance by the quartet LE DIV4S, who will interpret a selection of classic arias from Italian opera.

After dinner, an enthralling DJ set and saxophone live jazz session will welcome the guests in the intimate ambience of Il Bar & the Terrace until the late hours.

Among the guests on hand will be Bulgari Brand Ambassador Shu Qi and Chinese actress Zhang Ziyi, while the VIP guest list includes artists Yan Peiming and Irene Kung, the Italian ambassador, and various internet influencers.

At a news conference to officially introduce the project on Thursday, distinguished guests will mark the unveiling of a portrait of Sotirio Bulgari, the founder of the Maison, created by renowned contemporary Chinese artist Yang Peiming, which will be displayed in the new hotel lobby.

"The Bulgari Hotel Beijing has been designed and built with the same spirit and attention to detail that characterizes all our properties," Bulgari Group Executive Vice-President, Silvio Ursini, said.

"We firmly believe that the extensive use of precious materials, Italian marbles, detailed wood and fabrics, a combination of the best Italian residential furniture and Chinese meticulous craftsmanship, will honor the expectations of our customers."
