Shootout crowns Kings' sweep

The National Hockey League could not have scripted a better finish for its first foray into the Chinese market - although the Vancouver Canucks would doubtless disagree.
After a 5-2 victory over the Canucks in last Thursday's opener of the inaugural NHL China Games at Mercedes-Benz Arena in Shanghai, the Los Angeles Kings capped the two-game set with a 4-3 shootout win in Saturday's rematch at Wukesong Arena in Beijing.
Canucks defenseman Chris Tanev forced overtime when he beat Kings goalie Darcy Kuemper with 72 seconds left in regulation, and with the score still deadlocked after five minutes of extra play, Johnny Brodzinski notched the only goal of the shootout round to give LA the sweep.
