Zhu Shumin joins CBRC as vice-chairman

Zhu Shumin, 57, former president of the Agricultural Development Bank of China, was appointed vice-chairman of the China Banking Regulatory Commission late last month. Before joining the bank in 2015, Zhu worked at Bank of China for 27 years and was promoted to vice-president in 2010. His stress was on the importance of allocating credit resources to agriculture-related causes, farmers and rural areas. He also said last year that post-disbursal loan management is key to risk control.
