Floodwater traps boy in drain pipe

A boy was rescued after being trapped in a drain pipe for 50 minutes in Donglu county on Sept 2. Jiang Jiang, 13, and his father, were swimming in a river when floodwaters swept the boy into the pipe at about 5 pm. More than 30 rescuers and villagers used wooden boards and quilts to block the water to ease the pressure in front of the pipe. The boy suffered minor injures.
