Disgraced official faces graft probe
Yang Jiacai, former assistant chairman of the China Banking Regulatory Commission, is being investigated for corruption, the Supreme People's Procuratorate said on Monday. Yang was expelled from the Communist Party of China and dismissed from public office for multiple offenses, such as abusing his power to benefit others and accepting huge sums of money and property in return, the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection, the top anti-graft watchdog, said in August.
