42 civilians dead in US-led strikes

At least 42 civilians were killed on Monday in a barrage of US-led airstrikes on Islamic State group territory in Raqa, a monitor group said. Nineteen children and 12 women were among those killed in the raids, which hit several neighborhoods in the northern city, the group said. The latest figures for Monday's raids took to 167 the number of civilians killed in coalition strikes since Aug 14.
