Man steals tons of fake bank notes

A man, surnamed Fu, has been imprisoned for four months after stealing more than 140 metric tons of paper money - traditionally burned in China as a gift to dead ancestors - worth an estimated 370,000 yuan ($55,485) in Jixian county. Fu, 32, a former sales and warehouse supervisor of a mock banknote store, had a duplicate key for the warehouse cut before he was fired in February, which he used to carry out the theft.
