China is opposed to the "long-arm jurisdiction" by a certain country based on its domestic law, Foreign Ministry spokesman Lu Kang said on Wednesday after the US announced new Iran-linked sanctions involving entities and individuals in China.
"It is not conducive to enhancing the mutual trust among related parties, nor their efforts to solve some international issues through cooperation," Lu said at a daily news conference in Beijing.
China-based procurement agent Emily Liu and four associated entities were among the 18 entities and individuals designated for "engaging in support of illicit Iranian actors or transnational criminal activity", said a US Treasury Department statement released on Tuesday.
