Ministry to give update on overseas investments
The Ministry of Commerce will hold a media briefing on overseas investments in Beijing on Thursday. In the first five months of this year, the country's non-financial outbound direct investment dropped by 53 percent year-on-year to $34.59 billion, according to the ministry. Chinese companies invested in 3,121 overseas enterprises in 145 countries and regions from January to May.
