Official demoted for violations

Wang Hongjiang, a former member of the Standing Committee of the Tianjin Municipal Committee of the Communist Party of China, has been demoted for serious disciplinary violations, the CPC disciplinary watchdog announced on Monday. Wang was also the former head of the United Front Work Department of the Municipal Committee, according to the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection. He misused funds and concealed his failings during inquiries, the commission said.
