Item from July 10, 1994, in China Daily: China's largest TV components manufacturer has succeeded in developing 25-inch color picture tubes.
"This marks the end of China's inability to produce large-screen TVs," said Li Liu'en, general manager of the Henan Anyang Color Picture Tube Glass Bulb Co Ltd.
The company plans to produce 20 million color tubes annually by 1997.
