Former legislator prosecuted for graft

Wang Min, a former senior legislator, was recently prosecuted by the Luoyang people's procuratorate. Prosecutors found that Wang, who worked as Party chief of Jilin and Liaoning provinces, accepted huge amounts of bribes, embezzled public funds and caused great losses to the country and people for his dereliction of duty, according to the Supreme People's Procuratorate. Wang was vice-chairman of the Education, Science, Culture and Public Health Committee of the 12th National People's Congress when he was put under investigation in March last year.
