Heritage: Folk artist creates miniature ancient complexes

After retiring from full-time work, folk artist Zhang Jigao dedicated himself to creating miniature versions of ancient buildings in Xi'an, Shaanxi province. To make the replicas more lifelike, Zhang has made several visits to historical sites and interviewed fellow craftsmen about building materials. He also uses modern technology to make his models more accurate. Zhang hopes that he will be able to make his replicas even more detailed with three-dimensional printing technology.
