Foreign minister to host his new Philippine counterpart

Alan Peter Cayetano, the new foreign secretary of the Philippines, will visit China from Wednesday to Saturday, according to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Cayetano's talks with Foreign Minister Wang Yi will cover regional and international issues. The Philippines is the chair of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations this year, and China has said it is ready to work with the country to deepen Sino-ASEAN relations. Cayetano, 46, was appointed last month.
