Jia Yueting to lead LeAuto and Faraday Future

Jia Yueting, founder of Chinese tech conglomerate LeEco, was appointed as chairman of LeAuto recently. LeAuto's businesses include automobile manufacturing, bike sharing and the internet of vehicles. Jia would also lead the Chinese-funded electronic cars manufacturer Faraday Future as chairman. Jia quit as general manager of the company's video-streaming branch Leshi Internet Information& Technology Corp in May. He said LeEco would concentrate on its listed business and automobile operations. Jia also said in November that the company faced capital issues as the auto business landed in financial problems. Sun Hongbin, chairman of Sunac China Holdings Ltd, LeEco's second largest shareholder, said in May that it wouldn't invest in LeAuto.
