Society: Auction to feature calligraphy by emperors
China Guardian's 2017 spring auction will be held in Beijing next week, featuring eight Chinese paintings and calligraphy pieces with an estimated value of more than 50 million yuan ($7.35 million). The highlight is a calligraphy work consisting of four scripts by four emperors from the Southern Song Dynasty (1127-1279). The family was known for its talent in literature and art. A preview of the auction will be held at the Beijing International Hotel from Friday to Sunday.
