Bridge to replace highest cableway

Asia's highest cableway will be shut down and replaced by a new bridge in Liangshan prefecture. The bridge, which will go across the Jinsha River, will be 9 meters wide and 385.2 meters long. The main construction of the bridge, which will connect Sichuan and Yunnan provinces, is expected to be completed this year. The bridge will benefit more than 80,000 residents living along the Jinsha River, and is scheduled to open in May.
