Couple spent a lot on 'health product'

An elderly couple in Qingdao were recently defrauded of 4,000 yuan ($585). Zhao Yong, 89, and Li Shuxian, 86, were refused a refund after purchasing a "health product", according to the couple's daughter. They wanted a refund because Li had diarrhea after taking the product, but the sales representative refused to answer their calls, the daughter said. Zhao and Li, both retired officials, have spent about 1.3 million yuan on similar products over the past 12 years, she added.
