'Father' favored in cuckold case
A man in Kaihua county, who found out after his daughter died that he was not her biological father, was recently awarded 60,000 yuan ($8,700) in compensation, to be paid by his ex-wife, Cheng Meixian. Wang Quanfu, 48, took Cheng, 45, to court when he found he had been cuckolded before he divorced her in 2011. Wang's daughter, who was born in 2007 and went missing in June, was found dead in a local river in October. A DNA test after the autopsy indicated Wang was not a blood relation of the girl. The court ruled in favor of the plaintiff.
