Measures taken to smooth traffic flow

In view of the meeting of the Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation, the Beijing municipal authorities have taken measures to ensure the smooth flow of traffic during the event.

Starting May 7, traffic restrictions have been instituted on roads near Yanqi Lake in Huairou district, and for roads near the China National Convention Center in Chaoyang district. The controls will run until the end of the forum on May 15.

During the period, vehicles are forbidden on those roads unless they have special permission, according to the Beijing Traffic Management Bureau.
