Pulp and paper mill another CEC flagship overseas project

ADDIS ABABA - China's Belt and Road Initiative stretches across continents, bringing development opportunities that benefit both the participating countries that are seeking to expand their infrastructure and economies, and the companies investing in them.

China Engineering Corp signed an agreement with Yekatit Pulp and Paper in January this year to construct Ethiopia's biggest pulp and paper mill. The plans involve an investment budget of over 1.9 billion birr ($80 million).

Yekatit is a sister company of Yekatit Paper Converting, a pioneer in the Ethiopian paper industry since 1997.
