In the decade since the global financial crisis, economies around the world have been navigating uncharted territory, as new challenges in the rapidly changing environment called for new solutions in economic policies.

Innovative approaches were necessary to deal with the crisis and promote sustainable and inclusive economic growth.

In Europe, Hungary was one of the most vulnerable economies in 2008. But it has since produced perhaps the most impressive recovery and is thus often seen as a standout economy in Central-Eastern Europe.
