Stranded vessel halts military drill

Military drills on the Pacific island of Guam in which four countries were to practice amphibious landings and moving their troops have been postponed indefinitely after a French landing craft ran aground on Friday. The weeklong exercises involved the United States, the United Kingdom, France and Japan. The landing craft ran didn't hit coral or spill any fuel, said Jeff Landis, a spokesman for Naval Base Guam.
