Salary issues, residency are key topics addressed

By Wang Yiqing | China Daily | Updated: 2017-05-02 07:17

Departments and ministries under the State Council, China's Cabinet, have responded to a series of public concerns in the past week, including defaulting on migrant workers' salaries, permanent resident registration, adverse drug reaction monitoring, innovation and entrepreneurship corporation bonds, Internet Plus government affair services and weather disasters.

In response to Premier Li Keqiang's requirement in the Government Work Report this year that the authorities should deal with salary defaults for migrant workers, the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security has recently exposed 10 cases where enterprises failed to pay salaries.

The cases, in 10 provinces, including Shandong and Heilongjiang, and the Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region, saw local human resources and social security authorities respond quickly. The cases are currently under investigation or have been successfully dealt with through administrative or legal means.
