Ex-Party chief gets legislative post

Xia Baolong, former Party chief of Zhejiang province, has been appointed vice-chairman of the Environmental Protection and Resources Conservation Committee of the National People's Congress, the country's top legislature. The appointment was approved at a bimonthly session of the NPC Standing Committee, which closed on Thursday.
