Vice-governor under investigation

Zhou Chunyu, vice-governor of Anhui province, is under investigation for suspected severe violations of Party discipline, according to the country's top anti-graft watchdog on Wednesday. Zhou, 49, a native of Tianchang, worked as a government official in the province since 1989, according to the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection. He worked as mayor and Party chief of Ma'anshan and Bengbu from 2008 to 2016 before being elected vice-governor in September.
