China Daily | Updated: 2017-04-05 07:14

Item from April 5, 1994, in China Daily: As soft breezes nurture the first spray of green on bare trees along the city's dusty streets, another "Bud of Spring" is about to blossom inside the capital's dormitories.

China has made great progress in promoting gender equality and women's rights, especially in education.
